There are two types of designers in our 155-strong team: you’ll either work on an end-to-end project or on system solutions, and we have positions at every level for the right candidates.
Whichever role you perform, you’ll act as an advisor to the business, liaising with experts right across the whole development lifecycle and right across Norwich Union. You’ll have daily opportunities to influence the business and learn from others.
In technical terms, your challenge will be producing quality technical design work, exploiting enterprise architecture, applying IT strategy and successfully delivering solutions. These could be product launch, systems renewal and tuning, marketing campaigns and new technology evaluation and deployment.
But it’s about more than that. Our designers must demonstrate real leadership qualities, have a results focus, a business brain, a willingness to challenge established practice and excellent communication skills.
Naturally, we’re looking for broad experience of IT solution design, plus a proven track record of delivering change in a complex systems environment. An IT-related degree (or equivalent) is vital, as is, ideally, a relevant professional qualification. But most of all, what will mark you out is the ability to make a quantifiable difference to our business. Do so and you’ll have immense backing to go a very long way.
