Working within a team to deliver a high quality claims service to clients and brokers whilst maintaining and enhancing the reputation for its claim handling service.
The role will include direct communication by telephone with the Insured and Intermediary, managing the relationship with policyholders, assessing the size of the claim, its potential severity and dealing with same in a proactive manner with the emphasis being to provide a fast track claims handling service.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. To handle claims in a proactive manner within set service levels.
2. Deal with telephone calls from policyholders, brokers, loss adjusters and other experts.
3. To negotiate and settle claims fairly and promptly.
4. Ability to work unsupervised and show initiative in their claims handling approach from an early stage in their career.
5. Building a relationship and gaining broker confidence when handling claims.
6. 100% customer focused and being comfortable with the claims handling philosophy.
This is an organisation comfortable with providing able individuals both responsibility and authority where claims handling authority levels range from £50,000 to £150,000.
Applicants would be expected to possess the following attributes; drive, determination, confidence, initiative, dedication as well as having good listening, communication and analytical skills.
Also a minimum of twelve months experience handling claims for an insurance company.
