We are looking for an experienced web developer to join a close knit and motivated team and help create our next generation of web services. We have a number of exciting new projects in progress which include aspects of social networking, communication, e-commerce and web API development and integration with our desktop software products.
As a developer you will be part of creating both the front-end and back-end of a set of web sites and web applications.

Required technical skills and experience

Should have and be able to demonstrate a solid professional experience in front-end and backend web development. The opportunity to specialise in front-end or back-end technologies is available.

HTML and CSS (standards based, accessibility, semantics, cross browser)
Javascript (for creating easy to use, rich web interfaces to complex applications)
PHP 5 (Object Oriented and modular design, exposure to a PHP application framework)
MySQL database (relational database design, transactions)
Content Management Systems (implementation/usage/development)
Ecommerce (transaction based processing, design of websites to sell both products and services)

Desired technical skills and experience

It is not essential, but highly desirable to have exposure and knowledge of the following technologies.

Javascript libraries: jQuery, ExtJS
Flash, Flex and Actionscript 3
PHP Frameworks: Zend, Symfony, Code Igniter or Kohana
Creating web services with: SOAP, XML-RPC or REST.
Using source control and build tools such as Subversion.
Experiencing with developing web applications for Linux and Apache
