Parenting Co-Ordinator
Thetford, Norfolk
£26,067 - £27,594 per annum
Norfolk Youth Offending Team
Youth Inclusion and Support Panels (YISPs) are multi agency planning groups that seek to prevent offending and anti-social behaviour by offering mainstream and voluntary support services to ‘high risk’ 8-14 year olds and their families. YISPs are a countywide initiative financed from a range of sources including Norfolk County Council and the Youth Justice Board.
We are seeking an experienced parenting practitioner to support and enhance the work of the Youth Inclusion and Support Panel (YISP) scheme.
You will need at least two years experience of working directly with parents/carers either in the voluntary or statutory sector. Reporting to the YISP manager you will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering parenting support programmes in a specified geographical area. The post is based in our Thetford office. The position will require extensive travel in a designated geographical area (including King’s Lynn) to work with parents/carers either in the home or other suitable venue. The successful applicant will need experience in assessing parenting/carer needs and delivery of one to one and group work evidence based parenting interventions.
If you are committed to working in a non-judgemental way and have plenty of enthusiasm, we would be interested in hearing from you.
For an informal chat about these posts please ring Val Crewdson, YISP Project Manager on 01603 224444 or Lucy Carter, YISP Manager on 01842 821450.
