A position has become available for a CLAIMS HANDLER to join the team of a very successful company based in the city.
Job description:-
Dealing with all classes including motor, property and non injury liability, you will have the chance to handle some of the most varied and interesting claims received in the Region.
A firm support and development programme will be provided to enable you to fulfil your potential within this role.
Duties and responsibilities will include the following:-
Making decisions on policy and legal liability for all types of claims excluding personal injury
Opening new claims, assessing initial estimates and setting in motion appropriate action within 48 hours
Providing appropriate instructions and liaising with other Regional Staff, Agents and Service Providers
Personal Specification :-
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:-
A commitment to the importance of good customer care.
Experience of handling complex claims and those exceeding our Regional authority level.
First class written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to analyse, evaluate and make logical decisions.
Initiative
Good organisational skills
The ability to motivate and develop less experienced members of the team.
The ability to meet challenging deadlines and Department quality and service standards.
A willingness to travel within the Region as circumstances demand.
Please note that all applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English Language.
