Full Description:

A position has become available for an UNDERWRITER to join the team in one of the Underwriting Sections based in a very successful company in Norwich.

Job Specification -
The main duties associated with this role will include the following:

Analysis of risk information and making decisions on premiums and terms for risks presented
Detailed renewal reviews of existing business
Supporting local Sales initiatives, including attending external meetings and client visits
Dealing with all forms of verbal and written enquiries from our customers
Acting as a point of referral for junior members of staff
Compliance with all regulatory and internal systems controls
Issuing of new business and mid term alteration documentation

Personal Specification -
We are looking for someone has:

Excellent communication skills
A positive customer orientated attitude
A sound technical knowledge
The flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm necessary to actively assist our customers in resolving queries and maximising retention of quality business.
The ability to analyse, evaluate and make logical decisions
The ability to meet challenging deadlines and Department quality service standards

Required Qualifications -
5 GCSEs grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics.
